MARVEL vs CAPCOM Fighting Collection: there will be 7 games in total, here is the list and what's new

As the great environmentalist that it is, Capcom took advantage of the Nintendo Direct on June 18, 2024 to recycle old titles and bring them up to date. These are the old cross-over games that thrilled fans of versus fighting long before the arrival of the MCU and the superhero fashion in cinema and pop culture. No less than 7 games are planned in this compilation planned only for PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch, knowing that it will just be a port and that no restoration work is planned.

The Seven titles available in the collection:

MARVEL vs. CAPCOM CLASH OF SUPER HEROES
MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2 New Age of Heroes
MARVEL SUPER HEROES vs. STREET FIGHTER

On the other hand, Capcom has planned many new features, just to justify the existence of this compilation.

Online combat – All fighting games in the collection will feature ranked and friendly online matches as well as lobbies allowing players to compete against friends, family and other fighters from around the world.
Rollback Netcode – The collection’s online game will use a Rollback Netcode system for a solid and stable online experience.
Be the best – Global high score leaderboards will be available for each game in the collection so players can track their progress to the top!
It’s through training that you reach the heights – Training mode is available in all fighting games in the collection to allow players to learn how to play and master their special moves.
It’s Showtime – Spectator mode will be available for players to watch their friends as well as other players compete.
Additional Features – Jukebox to enjoy music from the collection, Museum to find various illustrations of the creation of the titles, new display filters as well as numerous bonus content and improvements await fans!

No release date at the moment, but we know that the release is scheduled for 2024.

WD drops NAND memory bombshell with massive 2Tb flash chips — designed to meet data center needs, they could bring about the new era of 100TB SSDs

At a webcast for investors titled “New Era of NAND”, Western Digital revealed the world’s highest capacity memory die, the BiCS8 2Tb QCL.

Created in partnership with Kioxia (the two companies are responsible for producing about a third of global bit output in the NAND industry, WD said), it uses the eighth generation BiCs technology (or BiCS8), announced in 2023.

Western Digital revealed a slide which revealed BiCS8 offers 50% improved memory density over the previous generation, as well as 12% better layer density, 30% better program bandwidth, 21% better read latency and >80% transfer speed. The company also stated its BiCS8 IO speed is 50% higher than peers for the same generation.

Smaller than a fingertip

After going into some details about the BiCS8 and Circuit Bonded Array (CBA) technology, Alper Ilkbahar SVP Technology and Strategy, surprised investors by announcing, “I am really, really excited to share with you a preview of the BiCS8 2Tb QLC die. We designed this die to meet the data center and AI storage needs. We are going to shortly announce this product, but I want to share it with you today.

Investors then got a chance to see the new die. “We typically show you a wafer, but I felt a view of a wafer doesn’t convey what we have achieved,” Ilkbahar said, before briefly disappearing from view and returning with the tiny die balanced on his fingertip, which you can see in the photo above. “It stores 2 trillion – 2 trillion! – bits, and this is what I think technology leadership looks like,” Ilkbahar said, in his mic drop moment.

The new flash memory could potentially reshape the high-capacity solid-state drives market, enabling much faster, larger and more energy efficient SSDs. Although details concerning the exact architecture of the 2Tb IC remain unknown for now, Tom’s Hardware points out, “A 256GB 3D QLC NAND device would allow manufacturers to build a 1TB SSD using just four memory ICs and a 2TB drive using eight devices, which greatly lowers their costs. Creating a 16-die package would enable a stunning 4TB in a single chip package.”

We will find out more about the 2Tb QLC NAND when Western Digital formerly announces it.

We don’t spot a deal like this every day. Samsung has decided to slash the price of its 85-inch QN90C QLED 4K TV to $2,199.99 (was $4,799.99). That’s almost a 55% discount – something rarely seen on a TV of this size – and a return to the lowest price ever.

You can’t go wrong with a TV from Samsung. They’re regularly one of our favorite TV brands boasting a great all-around selection of models. The South Korean manufacturer often features when we look at the best TVs, and the QN90C scoops the award ‘best for sport’ based on our testing. But it’s also ideal for watching TV shows, movies and gaming.

Today’s best Samsung 85-inch QLED 4K TV deal

The 85-inch Samsung QN90C QLED 4K TV is a bright mini-LED TV that looks good from any angle. It is feature-packed and was well-loved in our high-scoring Samsung QN90C review from earlier this year. We particularly enjoyed its “high brightness and impressive all-around video performance”.

The anti-glare screen makes it an ideal option for daytime sports viewing and its comprehensive gaming support also makes it a perfect choice for console or cloud-based gaming. The QN90C’s four HDMI 2.1 ports support 4K 120Hz input from a PS5 or Xbox Series X and there’s also VRR and FreeSync Premium support.

The Q-Symphony feature also lets you combine its audio output with selected Samsung soundbars for an enhanced experience. The lack of good bass audio makes using a soundbar necessary in our opinion, so it would be worth checking out the best soundbars.

This deal feels like a precursor to the 4th of July sales and Amazon Prime Day deals that are coming up fast but it seems unlikely it’ll get cheaper. WD quietly add uninspiring, entry-level SSD to its line up — available with a 4TB capacity, the Blue SN5000 is as bland as it can be but at least it is affordable

Western Digital (WD) is one of the top makers of SSDs right now, and its range is now expanding with the introduction of the WD Blue SN5000, available in 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB options – at a very reasonable price.

Anyone who has undertaken the task of building a PC will be familiar with WD and the sheer range of SSDs it offers is a little dizzying.

The new WD Blue SN5000 range offers twice as much storage on offer here over the previous-generation SSDs, and the starting price of $79.99 on the Western Digital website for the 500GB model, currently reduced by $10, is very tempting.

In comparison to the previous SN850X NVMe and SN700 NVMe SSDs (which comes in a striking red), the SN5000 is cheaper but lacks some of the more high-end features of those two, like an optional heatsink.

As you might expect, WD is hyping up the AI applications of the SN5000 SSDs, thanks to NVMe, PCIe Gen 4, and Western Digital’s nCache 4.0 tech making things really sing.

The company says users can expect read speeds of up to 5,500MB/s2 on the 4TB model, and up to 1,200T BW endurance for creating ideas and everything else.

One thing to note: to make the most of the SSD’s NVME PCIe Gen 4, you’re going to need a M.2 2280 slot on your computer, so be wary of that when making your decision on the SN5000.

To be sure, these the SN5000s are not exciting, but then do you want your SSD to do the job and perform, or offer bells and whistles? We mentioned that the entry-level 500GB model is $80, and the top-end 4TB model is priced at a reasonable $279.99 with a $10 discount right now.
