A Stardew Valley player with years’ worth of playtime has realized that trees located off of the farm can grow back. The discovery has surprised a few fans of Stardew Valley who had no idea and have had some struggles with acquiring enough wood without this knowledge.

Stardew Valley is an easygoing game, but it can also be demanding, depending on what players are interested in doing. The game’s crafting system isn’t overly complex, but does often require using ingredients that have to be grown or collected from animals. When it comes to wood, it’s used for everything from crafting chests in Stardew to building new farm structures, and there’s also multiple varieties, so getting enough can be a challenge early on in the game. However, it seems that some players have been struggling with it for a long time out of fear of ruining the game’s charm.

Stardew Valley: How to Remove the Glittering Boulder

The Glittering Boulder holds a mystery that only avid Stardew Valley players can unravel; here’s how to remove this intriguing obstacle.

Stardew Valley player just-_-trash shared their realization that trees outside of the player’s farm can grow back. Just-_-trash has reached year five in the game, and has spent multiple real-world years playing it, but didn’t know that if they cut down trees in Cindersnap Forest, located to the south of the player’s farm, they could grow back. They say that as a result, they’ve been scrounging for Wood the entire time.

While many players noted that they already knew about this, there were others in the comments who were equally surprised. With Stardew Valley NPCs like Linus, Demetrius, and its overall story often emphasizing protecting nature, it’s understandable that players might be hesitant about hacking down every tree in sight. However, players don’t need to worry about this, as any trees cut down in Cindernap Forest, by the lake, or similar locations will eventually grow back. This ensures that players have a replenishing supply of wood to use without having to convert their entire farm into nothing but trees.

Finding Enough Wood in Stardew Valley

While just-_-trash seemed embarrassed by making this discovery late in the game, the Stardew Valley community was supportive as usual, providing suggestions on how else to get enough wood in the title. Some talked about how they would cut down the trees near Robin’s house if they were just shy of how much wood they needed for a project. Others suggested using Stardew Valley‘s train area near the spa to create a tree farm, which puts them out of the way but ensures that there’s plenty of wood to gather when it’s needed.

Stardew Valley doesn’t hold the player’s hand every step of the way, which can lead to some discoveries like these being made late in the game. While it can be annoying to realize one was struggling with limited resources for no reason, players are free to take their time with whatever they choose to do in the game, so it’s not the end of the world.

GTA 6 Online Can’t Miss a Golden Opportunity to Carry Over a RDO Feature

A huge amount of pressure is already being placed on Grand Theft Auto 6 Online, and the game could surprisingly take one fun page out of RDO’s book.

Reddit user cat1nthedark shared a post with the game’s subreddit to celebrate their wedding. Cat1nthedark and their spouse met in Red Dead Online‘s beta back in 2018, where the two were members of a Red Dead posse together. Six years later, cat1nthedark is still friends with many of the same people, and wanted to share their happiness with other players at having tied the knot with their new partner for life. The two even paid tribute to how they met in choosing a venue for their marriage, as they tied the knot in Tombstone, Arizona, and a pair of their posse members even attended in real life. As the newlywed puts it, the couple were cowboys when they met, and cowboys when they married.

Reddit Users Share Congratulations with Newly Married Couple

As one might expect, fellow players have been coming out of the woodwork to share their congratulations with the newlyweds. Many thought it was cool that they met their life partner by complete chance via a video game like Red Dead Online. Many of the commenters celebrated and made jokes with ties to the game, like suggesting that the new couple should have had their honeymoon in Tahiti. Others said that the two clearly had some “God damned faith,” and that this was all part of the “God damned plan,” referencing some iconic memed lines from Red Dead Redemption 2‘s singleplayer components. Another fan said that Red Dead Online wasn’t the only Rockstar title to help two people meet like this, noting that they met their own spouse in Grand Theft Auto Online under similar circumstances.

While a lot of players cross paths all the time in games without making any connections, it’s neat to see gamers finding partners in their favorite titles. With any luck, the new couple will have a long and happy marriage playing lots of games together.
